My mother taught me an invaluable lesson on cooking and entertaining, when visitors show up looking for something to eat and you have no plans (or possibly no clue) what to make, start by frying up a bit of onion in butter. It will almost instantly smell good, it gives you a bit of time to formulate a plan, and you can put crispy onions in almost any dish. So here we go… this is my frying up a few onions post. I plan to blow you away with the greatest blog every (I learned humility from my mother and realistic expectations from my father) but I don’t quite have the full plan in place. So sit back, and prepare to be amazed.
