There are a couple things that happen as a parent that a truly horrifying. Getting puke in your mouth {not your own puke}, stopping what you are doing and thinking “did I just pee myself?” and not being sure, and my personal favourite being up all night with a screaming tiny hellion.
But then there are moments that make you want to high five your own damn fine self for being the very best. I just had one of those moments. Caught baby John sitting in the dirt very enthusiastically eating a chive plant.
Epic win. I deserve cake. Or beer. Or both.
